Soccer - Youth
The YMCA partners with SESA to offer youth soccer programs in a fun, skill-based environment. We have a variety of programs offering different formats from volunteer coaches to professional sport coaches. With an emphasis on fair play and safety first, the YMCA/SESA youth soccer programs are progressive with age appropriate rules to help teach the game and keep it fun! Soccer is a sport that teaches important core values, while also emphasizing exercise and building endurance.
Junior Academy Boys
The U8 Junior Academy Program is open to all Boys and Girls birth year 2019-2016; perfect for new players looking to build skills and passion for soccer and returning players to continue in a valued program to prepare for the competitive SESA Academy following programs.
Practice Schedule:
- Mondays: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at FC Turf
- Thursdays: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at SESA Training Grounds
Program Dates:
- March 17th – May 3rd (8 weeks)
*Players that register early will also be eligible to participate in the winter training sessions on 12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 1/13, 1/20, & 1/27 at no extra charge.

Spring Soccer
The Burlington Area YMCA and the Southeast Soccer Academy work in collaboration to provide Spring Soccer Leagues to the Burlington Area. All games are played at the Burlington Regional RecPlex on fields sized according to ages divisions. Each player receives a t-shirt. Practice times determined by each team coach held at the Y. Games will be held on Saturdays at the RecPlex. Volunteer coaches are needed and will be provided with basic equipment and lesson plans.
*Divisions offered from Kindergarten to 8th grade.
**MIXED TEAMING for divisions U10 & Up. Special requests not guaranteed but will be considered based on need (sibling, etc.) and will be reviewed by Director

U6 Soccer Micro Strikers
Our skills development series is open to children who are eligible to be enrolled in 3-year old pre-school. Players will learn basic soccer fundamentals through drills and small group instruction. Sessions are held at the FunCity Turf.
